Charles Dowding, explains how using no dig methods and the right timings for sowing and planting, you can reap the best harvests.
In Charles' market garden, the no dig beds are fed with compost every year. This provides nutrients for the plants, and feeds the soil without it needing to be dug, which kills beneficial microbes.
This method also allows Charles to re-sow a bed once he has harvested the first crops. Here he shows how after a heavy spinach crop, winter carrots are grown, and in another bed, winter radish.
You can learn more of these methods and tips in his latest book: Charles Dowding's Vegetable Garden Diary
