No dig gardener, Stephanie Hafferty, shares her natural pest repellent using produce from the garden.

Hang bunches of herbs around your home to help deter flies and other unwanted insects. They smell and look gorgeous too.

Gather bunches of the herbs and tie together tightly, leaving enough string to make a loop for hanging.

Plants with insect repelling properties include:

Lemon scented pelargoniums
Lavender
Lemongrass
Lemon thyme
Rosemaary
Dill
Tansy
Pennyroyal
Wormwood
Sweet woodruff
