Cider vinegar herbal spray
236ml (8fl.oz/1 cup) water
236ml (8fl.oz/1 cup) rosemary, lemon balm and mint infused cider vinegar
Mix together and pour into a labelled spray bottle.
Spray boards, surfaces, taps and sinks after scrubbing with a salt scrub. Wipe with a damp cloth and polish to a shine (for taps and other shining surfaces). This spray is a good, all round household spray – ideal for bathrooms and windows too.
Herbal or citrus cleaning vinegar
This recipe, also in No Dig Organic Home and Garden, makes an effective toilet cleaner which works well with the toilet bombs.
Loosely fill a glass jar ¾ full with herbs (e.g. rosemary, lemon verbena, thyme, scented pelargonium) or citrus peels. Fill to the top with white vinegar (or cider vinegar), replace the lid and leave for two weeks.
Strain through a sieve into a clean labelled jar or bottle.
Use neat in the toilet bowl or mix 50/50 with water in a spray bottle for an effective toilet spray cleaner.
