Daniel Tyrkiel talks with Stefan Geyer, author of Zen in the Art of Permaculture (out in September), about applying permaculture to building renovations.
Permaculture is often thought of as land-based, and all about designing food systems. Here, Daniel and Stefan explore how it can be applied to renovating homes and buildings (in this case, the London hotel that Stefan owns and runs.)
Stefan uses permaculture principles and design to help manage the hotel, and explores the work involved in consciously sourcing ethical, long lasting, low embedded energy supplies amongst the deluge of cheap, industrial solutions.
Stefan's new book, Zen in the Art of Permaculture is out in September. It can be pre-ordered via our Green Shopping site HERE
