You wait all summer for some good weather and a good event too go to, then two come along at once!

The Permaculture Association 2012 Convergence will be held 24 - 26 August 2012 at Coed Hills Rural Art Space in South Wales, featuring almost 80 workshops, presentations, skill-sharing sessions, discussions, networking opportunities and much more.

Tickets will again be limited to 350 places. The Convergence always books out with a waiting list, so do get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

Back in July 2011 Permaculture (http://www.permaculture.co.uk/news/260711887/uk-launches-nationwide-well-being-index) reported that the UK Government had conducted research which looked at the idea of a ‘happiness index’. The idea was to measure how the country is doing in ways other than just GDP. This is an approach which permaculture has valued for many years.

This year's London Permaculture Festival takes place tomorrow, that's Saturday 21st July 2012, at the Cecil Sharp House, 2 Regents Park Road, London, NW1 7AY. 

Entry is just £5/£4 concessions (under 18s free). 

This year's theme takes in Urban Permaculture and includes talks, stalls, interactive workshops, local food, live music, transition and alternative technology. Come and meet people who live close to you and share experiences and ideas.
