Good news for Asian readers (and viewers) with an interest in woodlands and permaculture. Woodsman Ben Law is featured on Japanese TV's NHK's magazine show El Mundo, broadcast on their BS-1 channel at 11pm on Thursday 16th February 2012.

Woodsman Ben Law is featured on Japanese TV's NHK's magazine show El Mundo, to be broadcast on their BS-1 channel at 11pm.

The film is for a 6-7min video insert in the late-night magazine show of Japanese public broadcaster NHK. El Mundo is a kind of One Show (BBC 1 in the UK) style programme, with studio hosts and guests discussing different topics, including short films like this one of Ben. It features him speaking about his woodland and house and Ben's publisher, Permanent Publications (who are currently offering 25% OFF all of Ben's published books to date, please visit, helped with visuals for the programme.

The UK makers of the short film, Litmus Films, ask us to "please alert anyone in Japan who might be interested (sorry for the short notice, but NHK have only just confirmed the date with us)".

We believe that some digital viewers may be able to view the programme, if they have suitable subscriptions. Hopefully there will also be links out there to view Ben's contribution sometime in the near future. In the meantime be certain to keep your eyes on this site, and on Ben's own website, for future news of how to view the short film.
