The South Downs Green Fair 2012 takes place at the Sustainability Centre, near Clanfield, GU32 1HR between 11am-5pm on Sunday 13th May 2012. Entry is Adults £6.00 and Children £3.00.
There is live music, local ales, fair trade cafes, local food, activities for children including bushcraft, creative crafts, face painting and the legendary fancy dress parade! There is also our Seed Swap, so do please bring your own plants and seeds.
You will have the chance to look around our beautiful 55 acre site on the South Downs. Visit our Eco Hostel, Yurts and Tipis, learn more about our educational classes (for both adults as well as children), explore amongst the trees, have a look down at our wildlife pond, and visit our on-site cafe (which is open 5 days a week).
You will also be able to meet members of the Permaculture magazine team at our stall at the Ben Law built Outdoor Woodland Classroom. Permaculture's editor, Maddy Harland, will be one of the Ask The Experts team at 12 noon. Alongside Maddy will be Christine Seaward (Chief Executive of The Sustainability Centre), Hugo House (Head of Business Development at Good Energy), Graham Johnson (Director of RenEnergy) and Richard Weavis (Director REW Construction Services Limited). The theme of this year's Ask The Experts session is the home, garden and community. So, if you would like to ask questions that could perhaps help you get started on a project, inspire you to join others and make a difference to your community or even help to save you money at home then this is your chance.
Also, at the Outdoor Woodland Classroom, you will be able to attend a Raw Food demonstration by one of the UK's top raw food chefs (at 1.30pm) and you will also be able to watch a fabulous Belly Dancing With Antlers display (2.30pm).
Most importantly, the weather forecast is good for Saturday and Sunday (hooray!) meaning that you can plan to come along and enjoy the countdown to this special annual event.
