Everything is always changing.
Don’t be afraid to try new things, if they don’t work out change them, the natural world is always constantly shifting like this. Every time you go into the forest it has changed, and it will never be the same forest again. Nothing in the natural world stays the same, including you. Be open to realise that your ideas and views will change too. The opinions, friends, views and beliefs you had 10 years ago will probably be very different to what they are today, which will be different to what they will be in 10 more years. This is perfectly normal and healthy, it shows that you are growing and evolving. Do not attempt to keep your views the same, instead be open and excited about them changing.
If you were interested or successful at something before, it doesn’t mean you need to continue to invest time into it. If you have never been interested or successful at something before, it doesn’t mean it can’t become your new passion in life. It is crucial to have an open mind to be able to adapt as you learn more and are exposed to different scenarios. You cannot design a lifestyle today that will suit you for the rest of your life. You can only design for today and be open to adapt and redesign as you learn more.
Look at where you have come from – At times we can be focused on looking forwards at where we want to go which can be demotivating when it seems so far away. Taking time to look at how far we’ve already come on our journey can keep us motivated to continue. Tomorrow you will be closer to your goals than you were today. January is a good time to reflect on the previous year and list all of the things we achieved that year. In another 12 months we will be even more experienced and further along the journey.
